Pupils are taught modern jazz and tap, which are valuable skills in the world of theatre performance. Modern dance is a good all round basis for co-ordination and control, rhythm and timing. Dance is an essential extra skill at auditions and helps prepare the body in strength and presentation for all the other performing arts.

Optional examinations are available through the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance, and the Allied Dance Association. Other dance disciplines, such as ballet, can be arranged separately.
